Lindsey Salkeld

Dance remains the most consistent passion in my life, a passion that has lingered for 18 years. I view dance as a form of communication, where artists may set differences aside and move in a language that feels so intimate and understandable. In dance, perfection is unattainable but there is never less room to improve. I feel so connected to this art because it pushes me, keeps me striving for more, and allows me to understand myself and others. I look forward to continuing this passion, creating work for entertainment and examination. I love the variety artists can explore within the realm of movement; dance can be so many things. There is always more to learn, as we look into history and origins of movement and understand where this is relevant in modern day.
